There are many causes of constipation. A couple of causes are dehydration and another being a lack of fiber in one's diet. The following list of tips will show how to relieve constipation naturally but also they will work as preventive maintenance.

  • Hydration - Water is a very important part of are makeup and maintaining an adequate amount of water in the system to be sufficiently hydrated is very important. Whereas there are different recommendations for the amount of water one must consume daily, the must common has been a gallon of water per day with half of that coming from pure/distilled water and the remaining coming from foods containing water such as melons.
  • Fiber - Fiber is an important ingredient in regulating bowel movement. You can get fiber from fruit and vegetables. This include fruit and vegetable juices. Taking 2-4 ozs of prune juice a day will help with the relieving and prevention of constipation.
  • Natural Foods - Eating natural foods helps in the relieving and preventing constipation. Eating foods heavy in sugar will add to the problem of constipation. The process foods generally contain a higher amount of sugar than natural sugar. Plus the sugar is also processed sugar which is not good for you.
  • Exercise - Exercise always promote good health. Exercise will help as the prevention of constipation.
