Vegetables, whole grains, and fruits are foods that are high in fiber. Plants are a great source of fiber. Increasing vegetables to your diet will add more fiber.

People should start the day with a breakfast made of high fiber, by eating a cereal or grain. This is a very good start to the day. For the maximum benefits of nutritional fiber you need to eat it throughout the day.Plus you can add water to help aid the digestive system. Health agencies have gone to many lengths to get people to eat better foods. The people who go by these guidelines should have healthier and longer lives. And that is why you need to add high fiber fruits for a healthy diet



If a person has not eaten meat for over 20 years, will there be physical reactions to re-introduction of meat?

Should I worry about colon cancer?
I am only a 21-year-old male. My grandparents do have a history of colon cancer but they are in their 70s. The symptoms I have been having are narrow/thin stool, feeling unable to completely empty the bowels, constipation as well as diarrhea, and a lot of abdominal bloating. On two occasions I had a lot of bright red blood in the toilet. I never vomited, though. Does anyone know if these symptoms sound like something else besides cancer? I still have to wait a few more weeks to get in to see a gastroenterologist.

Painful nighttime bowels...?
Perhaps once every three weeks or so I'm awaken while sleeping with extreme pain in my bowels. Constipation isn't an issue with me as I consume lots of fiber and H2O. This happens only at night. I should add that there's never blood in my stool...any ideas???
